A satellite crash-lands in the Arizona desert carrying a deadly alien virus that quickly kills almost every resident of the small nearby town. Racing to find a cure before the disease can spread, a team of military doctors rushes to the site. But their only clues are an old man and an infant, both of whom survived the outbreak. This Emmy-nominated miniseries is a remake of the classic 1971 film, based on the novel by Michael Crichton.
